About us

United Spirits Pottery Studio is a warm, inviting space run by Dr. Ricky Atkinson and Cathy Baksh both from Alexandra Park/Atkinson Co-op—named after Ricky’s father in recognition of his community involvement. They founded United Spirits in the Atkinson Co-op 10 years ago.

They are both great teachers with decades experience. They created this space so that any person, in the inner city could, heal through touching mother earth, while enhancing their creativity in a great space.

Together, they make a welcoming, meditative environment where students can relax, have fun, and grow their skills. Dedicated to community and connection, they’ve helped countless people discover the joy of clay.
